Netsoccer
From Kick Off World of Soccer - wikickoff
Netsoccer is a Multiplayer Online Soccer game. Each gamer controls a player, not a team as is common in most Soccer games. You can join different teams and have matches aginst other teams or you can just have a practice match online. It is particularly popular in Finland and Portugal. As of May 16th,2006 it features 6,000 players and 950 teams. Each player has their own stats - goals and assists. If a player scores during a 5 vs 5 or more server, a goal is added to their tally, and if a player passes to someone who then scores, an assist is added to their tally. Some people have reached several hundred goals and assists.

Teams
To create a team, a player simply clicks on the 'statscenter' button and then clicks 'Create Team'. Any registered users can do this - a logo can be added to the team's page by emailing the developer (QPRocky) with details of the team, founder and a copy of the logo. There is no limit to how many players are in a team, but few teams have more than 10 players though the minimum is 5 needed to play 'challenge' matches. Players can join a team if they are invited by the founder. Some teams create their own servers, some public, some private. Teams are more often than not based from a website, where they can meet and arrange matches with other websites - MSN Messenger also helps with this. There have even been national teams.
National Teams
National teams (also called NT) are managed by a user who is chosen in some way, who picks the best players with the flag of their country. Only one tournament has used national teams as of yet, the first Netsoccer World Cup. National teams participating in that were:
- Portugal
- Finland
- Spain
- Italy
- Poland
- England
- Sweden
- Brazil
Scottish team was also founded but have not participated a tournament yet.
There is also a NT for users who nationality has too few players to make a NT of there own (e.g. there are only 2 users from the Faeroe isles). This NT is called 'EU NT'. There 1st manager is Faeroe Clayton. Like Scotland they have not participated in a tournament yet.
